Typ is a command line application that lets you turn Markdown documents into formatted PDFs.
It automatically formats things like chapter headings and text decorations. It can format code blocks with syntax highlighting, supporting a number of programming languages.
Typ can also produce features found in traditional print, like page numbers and a table of contents.
Let’s look at an example of how to use Typ.
Now it’s time to create the PDF. Open a command line terminal and run:
typ typeset -i text.md
Typ will use the Markdown in text.md to produce a PDF called output.pdf.
