New Currency Notes of India from the Mahatma Gandhi New Series

New 2000 Rupees Indian Note

On 8th November 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had demonetised old 500 Rs and 1000 Rupees notes to curb black money. Soon after that, the Government started circulating new magenta coloured 2000 Rs notes from 10th November 2016. The obverse side of these new bank notes of India feature a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, the Ashoka Pillar Emblem, along with the signature of the RBI Governor, while the reverse side of these Indian notes feature a picture of our satellite Mangalyaan along with the logo and tagline for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. There were rumours that these new Indian bank notes contain a chip, using which, the Government can track down black money. However, these rumours are absolutely false.

New 500 Rupees Indian Note

Along with the new 2000 Rs currency notes of India, the Government also started circulating new 500 Rs notes in India from 10th November 2016. The new version of 500 Rs Indian note is stone grey in colour. The obverse side of these new notes of India featured a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, The National Emblem and the signature of RBI Governor. The reverse side of these beautiful currency notes of India features the historical monument of Red Fort that was built by the Mughals. Even today, the national flag is officially hoisted by the Prime Minister of India at Red Fort every year on Independence Day.

New 200 Rupees Indian Note

This was a new denomination introduced by the Government of India. The RBI was earlier following a variation of the Renard Series or 1–2–5 series. The 200 Rupee note of India was missing from this series. These new Bank notes of India were introduced in March 2017 and were printed at the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India or at printing presses in Mysore and Salboni. The bright Yellow-Orange Coloured note features a Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, signature of RBI governor and Ashoka Pillar Emblem on the obverse side. The reverse side of these beautiful currency notes of India featured the historical site of Sanchi Stupa which was constructed in the 3rd Century BCE during the Mauryan Period.

New 50, 10 and 100 Rupees Notes of India

The very first 50 Rupees Indian notes were introduced in the year 1975. The latest light-blue coloured 50 Rupees notes of India were introduced on 18th August 2017. The reverse side of these amazing banknotes of India featured the famous Hampi Chariot that was built in ancient times and later became a part of the capital city of the Great Vijayanagara Empire. The redesigned chocolate-coloured 10 Rupees Indian notes were introduced on 5th January 2018. The reverse side of these notes featured the Sun Temple at Konark which was built in the 13th Ceuntry by Narasingha deva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty. Designs for the new lavender-coloured 100 Rupees Indian notes were revealed on 19th July 2018. The reverse side of these new currency notes in India feature an image of Rani Ki Vav, which was a memorial to an 11th-century king named Bhimdev Solanki by his beloved wife queen Udayamati of Chaulukya Dynasty.
