Life is back in lifeless cities

Ambulance sirens are piercing the eardrums.
Tires are screeching loudly on the roads.
Music is blasting on in the parks.
Chatting is clicking all the right chords on the hiking trails.
Drumming noises are coming from ongoing renovation projects.
Drilling noises are droning along the pathways.
Dumping thuds of the construction trucks are relieving the dead silence.
Dreading and deafening sounds don’t feel like disturbance.
Clanks of hammer sound rhythmic.
Clanks of tools sound gentle.
City has become alive after eighteen months.
Celebration of summer seems possible this year.
