Now you can create your own AR Filter on Instagram

Creating AR filters for Instagram Stories is surprisingly not too hard! Facebook provides a software called Spark AR Studio that allows anyone to create filters for Facebook and/or Instagram! Not only is Spark AR very intuitive to work with, there are also a ton of resources available online!

Once you’ve submitted an effect made in Spark AR Studio, it will be reviewed. This can take up to 10 business days. Effects submitted to both Facebook and Instagram are reviewed to make sure they follow the Spark AR review policies, Spark AR and Frame Studio Terms and the Community Standards on Facebook or Community Guidelines on Instagram, depending on the platform where you’re publishing your effect.

Until the effect is approved, it won’t be visible to the public. However, you can share a link to the effect with your friends and followers.

Augmented reality is an exciting new medium. But when you take AR and combine it with Instagram and its growing community of artists and creators, the breadth of what you can make and the potential for who you can reach quickly expands.

Instagram Stories let you express yourself in the moment and connect with friends, and AR adds rich, interactive, and dynamic layers to those experiences.
